School Starts!!

Some of you may know that I just accepted a job at a childcare center! I'm very excited to start, I start on Tuesday! The boys will be going with me, I'm excited for them to meet new kids and do lots of things that I don't get the chance to do with them here at home! I brought them there yesterday, and to my surprise Jameson had a really hard time being dropped off.....(I didn't even leave the building, I just wanted them to get familiar with their new classroom before next week!) His class ended up going outside, which he had a good time....but I know when he becomes more friendly with the other kids he'll have a blast! Ashton I was way more nervous about leaving, because he's such a mama's boy and very clingy with me. His class had just got done eating a snack....OREO COOKIES! There was some left, so of course I had him sit to have a snack and he was fine when I left! I'm going to be in the infant room, so Im so excited! The babies are anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months, it'll be nice to hold a little baby again! I can't wait for it to be my turn again to have more!!! So I hung out with the infants for about an hour and went and picked up Jameson.....he was more than ready to go, but like I said, as soon as he makes some friends, I know he'll have a blast!! we went to get Ashton......and I never would have guessed it but Ashton wanted to stay....He threw a fit because he didn't want to leave!!!! So I feel ok about what to expect next week now! We start Tuesday 7:45-4:45...perfect hours for us! We're excited!!!! Wish me luck!

What do you do for a living?

So, I have come to the conclusion that it will never end for me. I will constantly have to clean up something, and everything will always be lost. Everyday, and when I say everyday, I mean everyday, I have to search the entire house before we can go anywhere. Lately it's been a shoe, but it's also been a sippy cup, or the package of wipes, or the keys, or the remote...........my list can go on forever. It gets annoying when you can't run to the store because there is one missing shoe......god forbid someone put it where it belongs!!!!! I feel like I do this for a living.......I wish I could make money searching for things!!

The other thing that annoys me lately is the constant mess. Obviously kids are messy. But I am really thinking that my kids have some sort of world record in making messes. They do help me clean up, but sometimes it just doesn't help having them help! I feel like every little thing I just get done picking up ends up back on the floor! ugh! And believe me, I'm not one of those "danny tanner" types of people, but before we go out, or before dinner, I try to starighten up the toys .........but the kids aint having it!

Sorry for my ranting and raving, I'm prob just tired, i was up until 2am last night catching up on the olympics........it's going to be another late night tonight too......

On a good note.....Ashton is completely potty trained!!!! As soon as we ran out of diapers that was it, i was not buying any more! He has been diaper free for the past week and he only had one accident through the night, and he finally went poop on the potty last night for the first time, so this is huge! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is really it!

Also Jameson started up swimming lessons again, and he's doing awesome......his teachers are so impressed that when they let the kids jump in, he is the only kid that doesn't want the instructor to catch him, he wants to go under!!......what do you think.....possible future Micheal Phelps????

Home Videos

I just got done going through pictures from last summer....it's crazy how fast time goes by. I took my video camera out today, it's been a few months since I've used it. I look at my boys and I can still remember the first moment that I saw each of them. With Jameson, it was love at first sight, I was so unbelievably in shock that we made an actual human being. It was truley a miracle. Hearing him cry was just as miraculous. With Ashton, it was love at first sight, except that he didn't cry, he had this big ole pouty lip with little wimpering, it was the cutest thing. He was such a miracle. It was crazy to look at him and to see how different and how alike he was with Jameson. Just simply AMAZING.

I 've had a video camera for as long as I can remember, and the only time it seems to come out is on special occasions. There are so many things I love about my kids, I want to make sure I can capture it forever. I love the way they talk, I love how silly they can be, I think it's funny that Jameson is only 3 years old and he tries to prove me wrong, and really before I know it they'll be in school, staying the night at friends houses, and I'm sure they'll be too cool to hang out with their dorky mom.

It's now 2am, I just found the home video of Ashton in the hospital, and maybe sometime tomorrow I will post a clip of him :)
I found a cute one of Jameson on Christmas of 2006, he was 21 months, I'm gonna try to post that too......we'll see if I can figure it out!! It's past my bedtime.....goodnight!

Onnnne.....TWWOOOO.......THREE!!!!

What do you think it's like coming into America, (not knowing the language) from China? I have a coworker that asked me if I would take care of her 6 year old son for the next month. I only work weekends so I told her I could do it monday through friday. When I went to pick him up I found out he doesn't speak a word of English. OHHHHH boy. So I feel horrible for this kid, he has no clue who I am, he just flew in from China last week, and when he speaks, I have no idea what he's saying! So I try to go about my day as usual, (this was yesterday by the way), let the kids play, take them outside to play, let them watch some tv, feed them, play with them, go to a playground, clean up house. Of course, there were times when my boys weren't listening, so I usually do the count 1....2.....3!! So I had done that a bunch of times throughout the day, and when we were at the playground in the afternoon I said it to one of the boys and I hear William (boy from china) repeating me! LOL.....funny that out of all of the words i was trying to get him to say that what it turns out to be!!

No Photos Please!

Jameson turned three in March, so that means that he is old enough to sign up for swimming lessons (that is, without me having to go in the water, lol). I signed him up at the local YMCA last week, and VWALA! He has already had 5 swimming lessons! Apparently the Y now has the option to have 9 classes in a 2 week time frame, so since it is summer and the kids will prob be swimming alot I jumped on it. We'll probably still keep Jameson signed up for the winter but only the once a week class. There are a few cool classes for Ashton's age group too, so he'll be doing some things too.

Day One of Swimming: Did not turn out how I had hoped. Not at all. Jameson kicked and screamed, refused to go in the water. The only kid throwing a fit about it. It was pretty embarrassing. I'm sure the parents were thinking 'Glad that's not my kid', and 'thank god my kid likes the water'. Well, Jameson LOVES the water, he's a fish! He was not happy that he had to wear the "swim belt", he wanted his "swim vest". I think maybe he was nervous, he thought he would sink right to the bottom, I don't really know, but it was very bad.

Day Two of Swimming: I had a talk with Jameson about his swimming class, and why he needed it, and so on and so forth. After that I figured it was time that I should bring out the big guns. It's called BRIBE him! I told him if he listened to his teacher and wore the life belt, I would get him a treat. My mother had the day off so she wanted to go and see him too. He ended up doing awesome! He went right in, did his thing, and had a great time. Of course my mother ended up getting him a package of M & M's. I don't know if it was the talk or the treat that actually did it for him, but I'm glad he got over it!

Day three of Swimming: Jameson of course did great....he and the other boys in his class (there are two others) tend to wonder around the pool. The girls (2 of them) seem to follow direction much more easy and do what they're supposed to. I brought my camera today to get some good shots of Jameson swimming and learning to swim. I made sure I asked the swim teacher before I started snaping photos and she tells me no cameras in the swim area! WHAT?!? Since when am I not allowed to take pictures of my own child? But then I thought about it and I'm sure some perv ruined it for all of the parents, ugh.

Day Four & Five of Swimming: He did great once again, but Ashton's getting bored sitting there and he wants to go in the pool, or play with some of the pool toys, so I might drop him off at the childcare center so he can play during the lessons.

On Thursday we went to a childrens music festival in congress park in Saratoga. We met Amanda there with William (Jameson's best friend, Amanda nannies for him and his brother) and Michele with her new baby girl Kaelyn, and Calleigh (whom she nannies for). We packed a lunch and headed there after swim. It was a cute show, Jameson liked it, Ashton got bored after about 15 minutes (which happened to be when he finished his bag of chips!). It was fun, we walked around, went on the Caroucel, had a picnic and saw the ducks with thier ducklings.

When Meriah got home from work we decided to go to the Saratoga County fair and walk around a bit. We saw soo many animals, and I know the kids love seeing them and petting them, but ya gotta feel bad for them all chained up instead of roaming free in a field. We saw someone pumping milk out of a cow...honsetly, that makes me not want to drink milk ever again. Seeing it makes it soooo unappetizing! It was fun, I was hoping to see the hypnotist show, because those are fricken hilarious, but apparently you can't always get what you want. We saw the pig race instead, lol. It was cute, the kids enjoyed it, so it's all good.

Today, I was dreading because that would mean that I would have to go back to work, I've been out for almost 3 weeks for vacation and just for time off. It's been really nice, but back to the grind. Well this morning while I was rushing to get the boys ready (Jameson's swim class starts at 9:45 am and I also have to drop my sister off in summer school at 9:30) I noticed something on Ashton's bed. There were a few nerds on it.....a few days ago Meriah bought me a package of nerds, I left it somewhere, and couldn't find it. Well, I lifted up his blanket, and boom, there it was. It was torn open and ripped. Apparently he had a midnight snack last night. That little sneak! He's such a Mama's boy I didn't know he had it in him!! That's more like something Jameson would do! Funny stuff, the stuff you see your kids do, I love it!!

Day 1

So this is us! My name is Adrianne, I'm 24 years old and I love being out and about going places, and I love love love shopping! This is my love of 8 years Meriah. He is 26 years old, and very laid back about everything. We love spending time together when we're not working, and going on new adventures together! March 22, 2005- My first miracle came along, Jameson. Weighing in at 7lbs 13oz, 20 inches long, he was absolutely perfect! Loves looking at people, loved being where the action was, he started crawling a little over 6 months and hasn't stopped moving since!

On May 15, 2006 Baby boy number 2 arrived, he's our Ashton! He came out weighing 7lbs 15 oz, and 19inches long. He was a very laid back, very easy going, and always loved being held and cuddled!
This is a more recent picture of Jameson......He's standing in front of a tire on a Ford Excursion....He called it a MONSTER TRUCK!

Here is a more recent picture of Ashton. Now he loves being like his big brother, he loves trying new things, loves an adventure (as you can see by the picture!)
So now that you have met my family, I can start writing blogs!

Today was Jameson's first day of swimming lessons.....and it really didn't go so well. Not at all. Jameson is like a fish, he LOVES water. So I guess that's why I don't understand WHY he was kicking and screaming and didn't want to go anywhere near the water today for his swim lessons.

So after a talk in the car he tells me he will swim tomorrow. I think it has something to do with the life belt he's supposed to wear, he wasn't happy about it, he was asking for his life vest. I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings with his swimming lessons.
Yesterday was family day, a town celebration, with kiddie rides food vendors and fireworks. We look forward to this event every year. We always have such a blast! Well, on top of family day, we had a birthday party for one of our best friends Justin (HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!). So pretty busy, and exciting day. Well it started out that way up until about 6pm.....we saw a dark cloud rolling in. We had our fingers crossed and hoped that it would pass us by. We drove down to Family day, it was me, my baby daddy (lol), the boys, Birthday boy Justin and his GF and my BFF Amanda, and my other BFF Loretta along with her fiance Kyle. We had gone down earlier in the day to set up some chairs and blankets because the place fills up faster then a Miley Cyrus concert!!
So on our way back down we had one umbrella and a huge tarp type piece of plastic. It was prob about 10' x 10'.....decent sized. I really wanted to bring something to cover the chairs and blanket just in case it started raining. So we ran in my inlaws and started chatting with them for a while, then decided to head over to our spot, and OF COURSE as we were walking over it started raining! So Birthday Boy Justin and my love Meriah sat in two of the chairs sharing the umbrella .........the other 6 of us sat on the blanket under the piece of plastic, making us the only dry 6 people in the whole place! Eventually Meriah and Justin made it under the plastic with us too! Quite an adventure......good thing we are always up for an adventure!!

Here are a few pics from yesterday!

Ashton had his face painted like a puppy!

My BFF Amanda, her first time wearing a maternity shirt at 14 weeks 3 days!

This is Jameson, we were outside throwing poppers on the driveway!

My BFF Loretta.....the next Model on the Price is Right!!! Doing a great job pointing out the rain clouds heading towards us!!

Birthday Boy Justin gave in and decided to come under the plastic with us!!

Amanda, doing her own share of holding up the tarp!

I poked my head out and found Daddy and Jameson in a chair under an umbrella!

Jameson's eye looks funky, I think it's a raindrop!!! lol

Loretta and Ashton, holdin it up!!!

I just had to post our news!!!

Ashton's been potty training!!! He's doing pretty good for a beginner!! We're proud of him!!
